After many years working in construction and remodeling—and the past five years in the window industry—I recently traveled through several European countries and discovered an entirely different standard of window design. The windows I encountered there offered energy efficiency, security, strength, and long-term durability far beyond most of what I had seen here at home. In the American market, inexpensive windows often sacrifice quality, while better-performing products can become extraordinarily expensive. I believed there had to be a better middle ground.

The more I learned about European windows, the more convinced I became that homeowners throughout the Midwest deserved access to them.
